Supply Chain Team Lead
IU Health
Overview
Onsite at Riley Hospital and Simon Tower Building. Full time evenings from 2pm-10:30pm Mon-Fri for the first month, afterwards will include rotating weekends.
Oversees daily function of assigned team and ensures that all responsibilities are met. Facilitates assignments as instructed by the Supervisor and Facility Manager. Effectively utilizes the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and the Enterprise Resource Management (ERP) system to document all receiving and purchasing activity including Requisitions, Purchase Order (PO) Stock items, PO Nonstock items, and Non-PO items. Assures daily picking, delivery and receiving priorities are strictly adhered to. Stages products to be put away or delivered to the customer. Troubleshoots and conducts service recovery when facility processes are delayed. Assists with Quality and Inventory Control assignments and recall procedures. Requires the willingness and ability to cover all job assignments of assigned team. Requires on-call rotation and weekend coverage.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaboration - Work closely with various departments such the IR’s Cath-Labs, MRI’s and the ORs to provide customer service to streamline process and achieve operational excellence.
- Leadership - Assist with leading the team of logistics specialists, providing guidance, mentorship and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and TEAMWORK!
- Technical Skills - Skilled in logistics software, advanced Excell skills, knowledge OF wave mark and understanding of routing optimization tools, and familiarity with Oracle and how it works.
- Project Planning and Execution - Planning, scheduling and executing logistics projects to ensure seamless operations and timely deliveries. These responsibilities are essential for ensuring the smooth operation of supply chain activities and maintaining high standards of service IU Health.
Requirements: Experience with Oracle, UKG Pro, IIs Self-Service Portal, Outlook, and all the apps in Supply Chain Execution.
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent years of experience is required.
- Requires 5-7 years of relevant experience.
- Requires ability to use a personal computer, Microsoft applications, and ERP system.
- Some assignments may require the ability to operate manual and motorized material handling equipment. May be required to obtain Material Handling Safety Training certification within 30-days of hire.
- Requires long periods of standing and walking (as much as 6+ hours per day) and heavy pushing and pulling.
- Requires the continuous ability to: lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist; lift up to 20 lbs from waist to over-the-head; carry up to 25 lbs.
