Our client is a rapidly expanding global e-commerce enterprise seeking a strategic and results-oriented Logistics and Supply Chain Operations Director to optimize their operations in the Washington, D.C., US metropolitan area. This senior leadership role will be responsible for overseeing the entire supply chain network, from procurement and inventory management to warehousing and last-mile delivery. You will drive efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance the overall customer experience by implementing best-in-class logistics strategies. The ideal candidate possesses extensive experience in supply chain management, a deep understanding of global logistics, and a proven ability to manage large teams and complex operational challenges. You will be instrumental in developing and executing innovative supply chain solutions, leveraging technology, and fostering strong relationships with carriers, vendors, and partners. This is a hybrid role, requiring a blend of on-site presence at our Washington, D.C., US facilities and remote work flexibility to manage broader strategic initiatives. Your leadership will be critical in ensuring the seamless flow of goods, managing inventory levels, and driving continuous improvement throughout the supply chain. You will set strategic direction, develop operational plans, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations. Responsibilities

Develop and implement comprehensive logistics and supply chain strategies to support business objectives. Oversee all aspects of warehousing, inventory management, transportation, and distribution. Optimize supply chain processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service levels. Manage relationships with third-party logistics (3PL) providers, carriers, and suppliers. Lead and develop a high-performing logistics and operations team. Implement and utilize supply chain technologies, including WMS and TMS. Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation and trade regulations. Develop and manage operational budgets, setting performance targets and KPIs. Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, sales, and customer service. Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA preferred. Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in logistics and supply chain management. Proven track record of success in managing complex, large-scale operations. In-depth knowledge of warehousing, inventory control, transportation management, and international logistics. Experience with supply chain technologies (WMS, TMS, ERP systems). Strong leadership, team management, and motivational skills. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic planning abilities. Proficiency in budget management and cost optimization. Strong negotiation and communication skills.
