Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Procurement Specialist to join their fully remote team. This is a key role responsible for managing and optimizing the procurement process for goods and services, ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality, and timely delivery. As a fully remote position, this role offers flexibility and the opportunity to work from anywhere within the US, leveraging advanced collaboration tools to maintain seamless operations.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of procurement best practices, contract negotiation, and supplier relationship management. You will be responsible for identifying potential suppliers, conducting competitive bidding processes, negotiating favorable terms and pricing, and managing existing supplier relationships to ensure performance and compliance. This role requires a proactive and analytical approach to cost savings initiatives, risk mitigation, and process improvement within the procurement function. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders across various departments to understand their needs and ensure procurement strategies align with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the end-to-end procurement process, from requisition to payment. Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers, ensuring they meet quality and ethical standards. Conduct competitive bidding, including RFQ, RFP, and RFI processes. Negotiate contract terms, pricing, and service level agreements with suppliers. Manage existing supplier relationships, monitor performance, and address any issues. Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities and efficiencies in procurement. Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and relevant regulations. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and provide expertise. Analyze market trends and supplier landscapes to inform procurement strategies. Develop and maintain accurate procurement records and reports.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) are a plus. Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management. Proven experience in contract negotiation and supplier management. Strong understanding of procurement best practices and terminology. Proficiency in using procurement software and tools (e.g., SAP Ariba, Coupa). Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills. Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote environment. Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
