Our client is seeking a highly organized and proactive Logistics Coordinator to manage and optimize fleet operations. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient and safe transportation of goods, managing driver schedules, and maintaining fleet compliance. You will play a key role in streamlining logistical processes, enhancing delivery performance, and supporting the overall supply chain operations.

This is an on-site position located in **Sacramento, California, US**. You will be an integral part of our logistics team, working directly with drivers, dispatchers, and warehouse personnel to achieve operational excellence.

Responsibilities: Coordinate daily transportation activities, including dispatching drivers, optimizing routes, and monitoring delivery schedules. Manage and maintain accurate records for the company's fleet of vehicles, including maintenance schedules, registration, and insurance. Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation regulations (e.g., DOT hours of service, vehicle safety standards). Communicate effectively with drivers, providing them with necessary information and support throughout their routes. Track vehicle location and status using GPS and other fleet management technologies. Investigate and resolve any delivery discrepancies, delays, or vehicle issues promptly. Assist in developing and implementing strategies to improve fleet efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance safety. Process and verify delivery documentation, invoices, and driver logs. Collaborate with warehouse teams to ensure timely loading and unloading of vehicles. Generate reports on fleet performance, mileage, fuel consumption, and driver productivity. Act as a point of contact for drivers regarding operational queries and concerns. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is a plus. Minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or fleet coordination. Familiarity with fleet management software, GPS tracking systems, and dispatching tools. Strong understanding of transportation regulations and compliance requirements. Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with drivers and team members. Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing operational challenges. Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
