Supply Chain Specialist

Position: Supply Chain SpecialistThe Supply Chain Specialist manages all facets of the order processing cycle, consistently seeking opportunities to enhance efficiency while aligning with broader departmental or organizational objectives. This role represents the organization positively and professionally, collaborating within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment to meet both team and individual performance metrics. Responsibilities include analyzing workflows, tracking key metrics, implementing process improvements, and supporting necessary changes.Key Responsibilities:Order FulfillmentEffectively prioritize and manage assigned tasks and workload.Coordinate with suppliers regarding export documentation requirements.Manage communications and order coordination with key logistics providers, distributors, and warehouse partners.Maintain and document processes, including clear RACI (Responsible, Accountable, Consulted, Informed) charts for distributor-specific procedures.Serve as main point of contact for customer communications.Facilitate communication with sales teams when needed.Oversee order processing and tracking using daily open orders reporting.Anticipate potential risks to shipping timelines and address proactively.Support the sample order process as required.Review distributor inventory reports and discuss ordering needs with sales and distribution partners.Analyze reporting (primarily in Excel) related to orders, key metrics, and allocations.Prepare and follow up on necessary documentation with suppliers.Review and clear backorder holds to ensure timely order release.Propose improvements to existing processes through brainstorming and analysis.Complete mid-month and month-end operational checks for assigned territories and team.Provide coverage and support for team members as needed.Accounting & FinancialFollow up with accounting on any credit or pricing holds.Collaborate with the finance and accounting teams to ensure accuracy in excise tax processing.Manage requests related to credits and rebills as required.ComplianceAdhere to allocation protocols and support new product or distributor onboarding processes.
