Director of Procurement

We are partnering with a dynamic and growing organization to identify a Procurement Director to lead strategic sourcing and supplier management across a high-value, consumer-driven product portfolio.

This role offers the opportunity to own a significant spend category, drive supplier strategy, and partner cross-functionally with operations, planning, and commercial teams to support business growth and operational excellence.

Position Overview

The Procurement Director will be responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, and driving cost, quality, and service improvements across key material categories and finished goods.

This is a highly visible role that blends strategic leadership with hands-on execution, including contract negotiations, supplier performance management, and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Sourcing & Procurement Leadership

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies aligned with cost, quality, service, and innovation goals
• Lead commercial negotiations and contract management across suppliers and vendors
• Identify cost savings, value engineering, and continuous improvement opportunities

Supplier & Vendor Management

• Build and maintain strong supplier partnerships to ensure performance, reliability, and innovation
• Evaluate supplier performance across quality, delivery, cost, and service levels
• Identify and onboard new suppliers to support growth and mitigate risk

Financial & Operational Impact

• Perform cost analysis and support margin improvement initiatives
• Align procurement decisions with financial objectives, including working capital and cash flow
• Support forecasting, planning, and inventory strategies in partnership with internal teams

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with operations, planning, and commercial teams to support product and supply needs
• Assist in resolving supplier-related issues, including quality or delivery challenges
• Contribute to new product initiatives and packaging or product enhancements

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of procurement experience with a focus on strategic sourcing and supplier management
• Strong experience in supplier negotiations and contract management
• Proven ability to analyze costs and drive savings initiatives
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities

Preferred:

• Experience sourcing materials related to consumer products, packaging, or finished goods
• Exposure to international sourcing and multi-supplier environments
• Experience working in fast-paced, product-driven industries
