Supply Chain Planner

Our client, a leader in the food industry, is seeking a Supply Chain Planner to join their team. As a Supply Chain Planner, you will be part of the Supply Chain & Logistics Department supporting Distribution, Customer Service, and Operations teams. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and strong organizational skills, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Supply Chain Planner

Location: Buffalo, NY.

Hybrid (Tuesday–Thursday in office, Monday & Friday remote)

Pay Range: $22.75 – $24.17 per hour

Contract Length: 6-8 months

What’s the Job?

• Develop and execute inventory deployment strategies based on current demand and production plans at the SKU location level.
• Plan, create, update, and complete purchase orders in SAP and generate stock transfer orders using Blue Yonder.
• Monitor warehouse capacity and manage inventory movement across the distribution network to prevent gridlock and capacity issues.
• Manage inventory shortages and communicate risks to Customer Service, Supply Planners, and Sales teams.
• Analyze inventory performance and implement improvements to increase customer order fill rates and reduce unplanned shortages.

What’s Needed?

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• 3+ years of logistics, supply chain, or distribution planning experience preferred.
• Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel and spreadsheet analysis experience.
• Experience with SAP, Blue Yonder, or related supply chain systems.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
