Your Day at Lowe's

In this position, ensuring safety is of utmost importance. Regular training and quick resolution of any issues are core responsibilities. As a supervisor, you play a crucial role in making sure your teams comply with policies, regulations, and safety protocols. You will communicate workload plans, engage associates, and collaborate with other teams to enhance our supply chain's overall efficiency. Expect a fast-paced day focused on optimizing operations. You will manage task assignments, oversee production, and make immediate decisions to improve workflow. Coordinating and managing daily operations is essential to ensure a seamless workflow and timely deliveries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise operations associates in receiving, order fulfillment, shipping, and support tasks.
  • Monitor production volumes and assign tasks for optimal performance and workflow.
  • Enforce safety protocols and provide training while addressing any safety concerns promptly.
  • Respond quickly to changing workflow conditions and make real-time decisions.
  • Resolve operational issues to minimize disruptions in supply chain activities.
  • Effectively communicate business objectives, daily workload plans, and performance expectations.
  • Provide support and guidance to associates, addressing any associate relations issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve supply chain performance.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 4 years of experience in distribution center/warehouse operations or a related field OR a Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, transportation, industrial engineering, business, or a related discipline.
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds without assistance and up to 70 pounds.
  • Basic math and reading comprehension skills.
  • Basic computer knowledge, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Proven ability to comply with safety protocols.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience promoting a culture of safety among direct reports and colleagues.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with direct reports.
  • Experience in mentoring and coaching team members.
  • Experience ensuring work quality by monitoring others' performance.
  • Experience communicating effectively with leadership.
  • Previous leadership roles at other Lowe's supply chain facilities or corporate-led initiatives.
  • Familiarity with software applications such as Microsoft Office and/or Warehouse Management Systems.
  • Bi-lingual skills, if applicable to the facility.

Schedule Requirements

  • Availability to work a fixed schedule that may change based on management requirements.
  • May be required to work mornings, afternoons, nights, and/or weekends.

Working Conditions

Work environments may vary, including both indoor and outdoor settings. You will encounter varying weather conditions such as extreme heat, cold, humidity, wind, and noise. Lifting methods will differ based on the role, weight, and volume, with guidelines limiting individual lifts to 70 pounds. Use team lifts when necessary starting at 70 pounds, and utilize powered equipment as needed, following proper training.
