General Information
The Department of Procurement Services is responsible for the contracting of goods, services and construction for the University. In addition, we oversee the University’s Small Business initiative and all university related e-Procurement (eVA) system processes.
Duties and Responsibilities
This position provides excellent first point of contact receptionist and phone customer service to suppliers and our campus. The position supports several complex reporting activities, manages the receipt and time stamping of formal bids and proposals, handles agreement tracking/reporting, manages the Virginia Association of State College & University Procurement Professionals Certified University Procurement Officer certifications/tracking processes, enters suppliers into eVA and processes w-9's as necessary, supports first level eVA/Procurement help desk operations, handles travel authorization and reimbursement processes, assists with event planning, social media outreach and other communication efforts of office, assists in fiscal processes of department, handles ordering of supplies, provides assistance to contract administration activities, provides back-up and assistance to other team members, provides support to the Director of Procurement Services, and various other administrative and support services.

Required Qualifications
- High level of professionalism
- Sound judgment in prioritizing multiple responsibilities and meeting deadlines
- Proven ability to function independently and proactively in a collaborative, complex and constantly changing environment
- Proven ability to be an excellent and supportive team member
- Excellent organizational, quantitative, written and verbal skills
- Fluency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Fluency in or ability to learn the following technology systems: PeopleSoft Finance system, eVA purchasing system, Chrome River, Cascade, Adobe, Canva, and Cobblestone Contract Insight
- Ability to work 8-5 Monday through Friday in the Procurement Services office
