In this role, you will develop strategic commodity plans for capital projects, oversight category strategies across global Copeland locations, and take charge of cost management while uncovering new savings opportunities. You will ensure supplier performance aligns with our overall business objectives, with guidance from the Global Procurement Manager - Capital & Energy.
As a Capital Procurement Manager, You Will

- Design and implement category strategies for capital and energy procurement that align with business objectives and stakeholder priorities.
- Lead comprehensive sourcing initiatives, including e-sourcing, RFI, RFP, RFQ, and negotiation strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support capital procurement, executing spending strategies, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and mitigating risks.
- Monitor and report on sourcing pipelines and savings initiatives.
- Manage, maintain, and periodically update supplier contracts and agreements.
- Build strong relationships with suppliers and conduct regular business and performance evaluations.
- Communicate effectively, lead meetings, and deliver professional presentations while adhering to core competencies and company values.
- Ensure adherence to procurement policies along with legal, ethical, and risk requirements.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or related fields.
- Experience in acquiring capital assets and engaging with OEM and integration suppliers.
- Strong skills in stakeholder management and the ability to influence outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to create and execute supply chain strategies that drive operational excellence.
- In-depth understanding of procurement processes, contract law, supplier relationship management, and supply chain technologies.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with strong presentation capabilities.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to Copeland locations and suppliers both domestically and globally.
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS
- Fluency in Spanish.
- Master's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
- At least two years of experience in Capital Commodity Management.
- Experience sourcing and procuring energy in a deregulated market.
- Technical ability to interpret architectural and mechanical drawings and write comprehensive scopes of work.
- Outstanding analytical and strategic thinking skills with a strong aptitude for problem-solving and synthesizing data into executive-level briefs.
