- Work Location: Can be remote or onsite or hybrid. Manager is flexible
- There isn't an option to convert to a perm position. It could possibly extend, but I would say only for another 3-6 months max
Job Duties
- Execute strategic sourcing events to support technology subcategory strategy goals, ensuring appropriate engagement of staff, stake holders, business units and impacted individuals.
- Quantify and document strategic sourcing results.
- Collaborate with Client legal management to complete supplier contracts.
- Lead rigorous objective contract negotiations with vendors and key internal stake holders.
- Conduct ongoing business reviews to ensure suppliers are performing to contracted obligations and service levels.
- Lead contract negotiations with potential suppliers, close deals to advance the business agenda and direct new partner activities to get products to market quickly & successfully within the agreed project scope.
- Execute day-to-day procurement operations.
- Follow Procurement practices, operating standards, controls, policies, procedures and performance metrics.
- Develop and maintain key internal relationships as well as good relationships with strategic vendors.
- Engage and influence senior leadership in relation to the benefits of the strategic sourcing and procurement function.
- Build strong working relationships with key technology subcategory stakeholders
- Drive cost optimization and working capital improvements along with supplier performance management.
- Collaborate with Finance and HR to follow standardized policy, processes, guidelines and controls that will ensure value capture.
- Lead negotiation of business terms and conditions ensure alignment between legal terms and procurement objectives.
- Conduct analysis of qualitative and quantitative characteristics including suppliers' capabilities, operational objectives, risk profile and financial positioning.
- Lead and develop strategic supplier relationships at the executive level.
- Maintain awareness of global macro-economic factors that directly impact the company's procurement cost and develop alternate sourcing strategies as these factors begin to negatively impact company's purchasing operations.
Skills and Qualifications
- 5+ years of overall business experience with at least 3 years in supply chain or Procurement. Experience with retail, service, multi-outlet food and beverage or digital and technology highly preferred.
- Tertiary degree level qualification essential with major in business related discipline preferred. .
- A proven track record of strong execution in conjunction with outstanding abilities to drive results.
- High level negotiating and high-level analytical problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build team environment in order to achieve revenue, profit and growth targets.
- Excellent communication skills with ability to liaise with other departments, suppliers and franchisees.
- High work ethic.
Comments for Suppliers
- This role is a short term assignment to support the day-to-day Procurement projects within the Digital and Technology category. Projects will vary from renewals to RFP's over the course of the term.
- It is important that the candidate has a strong procurement background with the ability to jump right into projects, with only needing training on Yum processes.
