Role Summary

Rivian’s Supply Chain Operations & Systems team owns deployment and continuous improvement of supply chain business systems (e.g., SAP, the Basecamp supplier portal, EDI, Supplier Quality) and the supplier-facing processes that run on them. This team leads supplier onboarding, compliance, scorecarding, training, and ongoing supplier support to enable stable production and launch readiness. The Manager, Supply Chain Operations leads the supplier-facing operations function that drives supplier compliance, supports procure-to-pay execution through the Basecamp portal, and resolves operational issues across shipments, ASNs, and invoicing. The role partners cross-functionally with Purchasing, Logistics, Quality, Finance/AP, and Program/Launch to safeguard part flow, data integrity, and supplier performance while maturing processes and systems at scale.

Responsibilities

Partner closely with Purchasing, Logistics, Quality, Finance/AP, Warehousing, and Program Management to align on requirements, eliminate internal / external root causes, and support launch/production milestones.
Drive high levels of P2P compliance across the supply base including ASN, Label, and Invoice accuracy.
Define and track KPIs across compliance, service levels, issue cycle time, and P2P throughput; publish readouts and drive corrective actions with owners.
Disperse supplier mass communications and lead webinar training across the supply base. Conduct supplier studies for internal teams.
Lead the escalation pathway as the Supply Chain Operations manager for urgent supplier/system issues impacting part flow, quality, or payments.
Create systems training documentation for Suppliers and Internal Users.
Build and maintain operational analytics (e.g., Databricks dashboards) to monitor supplier performance, compliance trends, and process health; use insights to prioritize improvements.
Support ongoing business operations readiness projects toward pre-production and production milestones and deliverables within Supply Chain, including business-process definition, program management support, KPI definition.
Support stakeholders in the implementation of business processes, systems, and programs that are critical to operational success.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Business, or related field.
5+ years Supply Chain experience preferably working with external stakeholders and internal process and systems teams. 2+ years in a lead or people-manager role.
Proven track record driving cross-functional outcomes with Purchasing, Logistics, Quality, Material Planning, Material Flow, Warehousing, and Finance/AP.
Strong systems acumen across ERP (SAP), supplier portals, and EDI; comfortable partnering with technical teams to scope, test, and deploy changes.
Analytical proficiency (Excel/Sheets; experience with Tableau, SQL, or similar BI tools a plus).
Excellent communication and stakeholder management with suppliers and internal teams; able to simplify complexity and influence without authority.
Self-starter willing to juggle multiple projects and strive to become SME in several different disciplines

Pay Disclosure

Salary Range/Hourly Rate for California Based Applicants: $125,000 - $156,200 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).

Salary Range/Hourly Rate for Illinois Based Applicants: $114,100 - $142,600 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).

Benefits Summary: Rivian provides robust medical/Rx, dental and vision insurance packages for full-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Coverage is effective on the first day of employment, and Rivian covers most of the premiums.
