This pivotal role involves managing all aspects of the procurement lifecycle, from sourcing and negotiation to vendor relationship management and cost optimization. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of supply chain dynamics, a strong negotiation acumen, and a proven ability to drive significant cost savings while ensuring the highest quality of goods and services. This position requires a leader who can build and maintain robust supplier partnerships and contribute to the company's strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies to meet the company's procurement needs. Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable pricing, terms, and conditions. Manage and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key vendors and suppliers. Oversee the entire procurement process, including requisitioning, PO generation, and invoice reconciliation. Identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements within the supply chain. Conduct market research and analysis to stay informed about industry trends and potential supply risks. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards. Manage the performance of the procurement team, providing guidance and development. Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure procurement effectiveness. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure timely delivery of goods and services. Mitigate supply chain risks and develop contingency plans. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus. Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in procurement, purchasing, or strategic sourcing. Demonstrated success in negotiating complex contracts and achieving significant cost savings. Strong understanding of supply chain management principles and best practices. Experience with e-procurement systems and ERP software. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. Proven leadership and team management experience. Professional certifications such as CPSM or CIPS are highly desirable. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
