Assistant Buyer

Weimer Bearing & Transmission is a privately held, stable and successful company that produces and distributes high tech electro/mechanical systems to a diverse group of industries, and is seeking to add a talented buyer to our Germantown, Wisconsin team. With over 40 locations in 11 states, we are growing, and want you to grow with us. Job Description: You will be performing duties associated with the buying process and determining the resources necessary to ensure an uninterrupted supply at all of our locations throughout the United States. Job Duties: Prepare purchase orders and place orders Receive, enter and follow up on PO confirmations Talk directly to vendors Expediting and tracking Run purchase order reports through our ERP system Work to resolve pricing and shipping discrepancies Process RMA's Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with purchasing to maintain adequate levels of parts and raw materials Work to resolve materials issues while achieving and maintaining inventory business metrics Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Outlook 1+ years of purchasing experience Good verbal and written communication skills Weimer offers a generous compensation and benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, 401K with match and a lucrative PROFIT SHARING program, as well as a host of voluntary benefits.
