Role Overview
The Procurement function delivers strategic, commercial, and risk-focused procurement services aligned with business objectives. This role is responsible for driving value across the supplier lifecycle through effective sourcing, contract management, supplier relationship management, analytics, and third-party risk oversight.
The Regional Procurement Lead will support regional and global procurement initiatives across both Technology and Non-Technology categories, partnering closely with business stakeholders, finance, and suppliers to deliver cost, performance, and risk outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Category Strategy & Sourcing
- Support Global Procurement leadership in developing and executing 3-year rolling category sourcing strategies across Technology and Non-Technology services
- Define and execute regional category plans aligned with overall procurement strategy and business objectives
- Manage end-to-end regional sourcing activities, including pipeline management, competitive tenders, benchmarking, and supplier selection
- Lead complex, high-value supplier negotiations (>£250k annually)
Stakeholder & Supplier Management
- Build strong relationships with regional business leaders, finance partners, and third-party suppliers
- Provide market intelligence and insights to procurement leadership and senior stakeholders
- Drive spend through preferred suppliers and established framework agreements
Contract & Commercial Management
- Ensure contracts are abstracted, stored, and maintained within the contract repository throughout the lifecycle
- Oversee commercial contract management for assigned suppliers to ensure compliance, performance, and protection against value leakage
- Support post-deal supplier performance management and issue resolution
Governance, Risk & Compliance
- Participate in procurement governance forums and support development of metrics, reporting, and MI
- Support third-party risk management activities, supplier onboarding/offboarding, and regulatory compliance requirements
- Identify, escalate, and manage procurement-related risks and issues
Procurement Operations & Continuous Improvement
- Assign and oversee lower-value sourcing initiatives (<£250k annually) in coordination with Procurement Leads and Sourcing Management teams
- Support procurement transformation, continuous improvement, and innovation initiatives
- Collaborate with analytics teams on MI reporting, contract analysis, and spend insights
- Identify system and process improvement opportunities to enhance procurement effectiveness
Communication & Reporting
- Prepare procurement and outsourcing reports, including updates for senior leadership, committees, and boards as required
- Deliver clear, timely updates to stakeholders throughout the sourcing and contracting lifecycle
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience in procurement or supply chain
- Strong negotiation and commercial contract management experience
- Experience with purchase order processes and invoice approval workflows
- Hands-on experience with contract management platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, Ariba, or similar)
- Technical knowledge in procurement-related disciplines such as contract negotiations, contract management, or third-party risk management
Preferred
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Professional procurement certification (e.g., MCIPS or equivalent)
