Purchasing Agent for Aerospace Components

We are a growing aerospace company looking for a detail-oriented part-time Procurement Specialist to help us source parts and components reliably and on schedule. You will work directly with our team to locate suppliers, request quotes, compare pricing and lead times, and keep our purchasing moving even when the schedule gets tight.

This is an ongoing part-time role with steady work for the right person. We value accuracy, follow-through, and someone who knows how to chase down a hard-to-find part.

What you will do

Source aerospace, mechanical, and electrical components from qualified suppliers and distributors

Identify parts by part number, specification, or description, including obsolete or hard-to-find items

Request and compare quotes on price, lead time, and availability

Track orders and keep clear records of suppliers, pricing, and status

Flag risks early, such as long lead times, single-source parts, or pricing changes

Communicate clearly and promptly with our team

What we are looking for

Hands-on experience in procurement, purchasing, or sourcing, ideally in aerospace or a related regulated industry

Familiarity with aerospace, mechanical, and electrical componentry and how these parts are specified and cataloged

Comfort reading part numbers, spec sheets, and supplier catalogs

Strong supplier research skills and the persistence to find parts others give up on

Organized, responsive, and reliable with your reporting

Fluent written English

Nice to have

An existing network of aerospace or component suppliers and distributors

Experience with obsolescence management or sourcing legacy/discontinued parts

Familiarity with quality and compliance basics for aerospace parts (for example AS9100, traceability, certs of conformance)
