Supply Chain Analyst, Castings Extrusions

What To Expect
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Supply Chain Analyst to support our development teams and contract manufacturing partners in the sourcing of Direct Supply Chain components and parts. These could include specific parts related to one of our four automobiles (Model S, Model X Model 3¸ and/or Model Y), Tesla Semi, Tesla Energy, Batteries and/or any other components intrinsic to the successful running of the organization. Tesla is a fast-moving, dynamic environment where flexibility and adaptability are key attributes needed for success. A successful candidate will be a motivated self-starter and will be expected to build and leverage strong working relationships with our internal teams and key suppliers to ensure cost, quality, and delivery targets are met.
What You'll Do

Lead strategy development, source selection, and project management for Castings & Forgings Service and Prototyping sourcing requirements.

Support sourcing, contract administration and project management activities for castings team including PO issuance and monitoring, developing and maintaining action trackers, Gantt charts, and other program management tools related to on-time delivery of supplier parts against program timing.

Drive piece price and tooling negotiation process to ensure that Tesla’s commodity pricing met Best-In-Class expectations, while meeting Supplier Industrialization standards of Best-In-Class quality, in addition to driving continual cost reduction and avoidance initiatives through ad-hoc price negotiations

Manage respective supplier relationships and performance, including but not limited to delivery performance, dispute resolution, supplier scorecards, and periodic business reviews

Lead and support Continuous Improvement Activities for the Castings and Forgings Team

Drive projects with the Supply Chain Optimization team to improve the sourcing, program management, reporting, and analytics processes in support of the team.

What You'll Bring

Bachelors or Master’s degree (preferred) in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Engineering and/or equivalent experience or evidence of exceptional experience and ability

0-3 YoE in a direct procurement, planning, logistics or project management role

Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work in an extremely fast-paced environment

Demonstrated ability to work effectively cross functionally with various stakeholders including engineering, manufacturing, IT, finance, and planning functions

Strong analytical with ability to use excel, tableau for advanced reporting. Familiar with cost breakdowns, should-cost models, & cost forecasts

Willing and able to travel up to 25% of the time

Expected Compensation
$104,000 - $156,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
