Position Overview
We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Director of Supply Chain & Planning to lead a critical function within a growing manufacturing organization. This opportunity is ideal for a leader who can drive both planning and procurement strategy while ensuring operational execution across the business.
This role will oversee demand planning, production planning, and purchasing operations while partnering closely with executive leadership to improve forecasting, optimize inventory, and ensure material availability across multiple facilities.
This is a high-impact leadership role with strong visibility and the opportunity to shape long-term supply chain strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead demand planning and production planning strategy
- Oversee purchasing, procurement, and vendor management
- Manage inventory levels for raw materials and finished goods
- Develop forecasting models using historical and market data
- Build and optimize production plans based on demand and capacity
- Establish purchasing policies and negotiate pricing with vendors
- Collaborate with Operations, Sales, and Finance teams
- Lead and develop a team of planning and purchasing professionals
- Ensure materials are available to support uninterrupted production
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in supply chain, purchasing, or planning leadership
- Experience at the Director or Senior Manager level
- Strong background in demand planning, production planning, and procurement
- Advanced Excel skills required
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems (NetSuite preferred)
- Proven leadership experience managing teams
- Bachelor’s degree required
Compensation
- $120,000 – $140,000 base salary

- Onsite role based in Alabama
