THE POSITION
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Vice President of Global Procurement to lead our procurement efforts across domestic and international markets. This leadership role requires a deep understanding of supply chain dynamics, particularly within the data center industry, and a strong engineering background. The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in managing procurement for mechanical and electrical equipment, as well as a solid grasp of construction business and contracts related to data centers. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Develop and execute global procurement strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery timelines for data center projects.
- Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts with manufacturers and vendors both domestically and internationally.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, construction, and project management teams to ensure procurement aligns with technical and operational requirements.
- Leverage existing relationships with manufacturers to secure competitive pricing and priority access to critical equipment.
- Oversee supply chain risk management and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement function to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Lead and mentor a global procurement team, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance.
THE DETAILS
- Location: Northern Virginia, will also consider remote
- Travel: Up to 30%
- Compensation: $248,000 to $286,000 yearly with 25% annual bonus potential
