Supply Chain Analyst

Join our team in a role where you can significantly contribute to military defense and the safety of Navy personnel. We are seeking a dedicated Supply Chain Analyst who will be based in Norfolk, Virginia. Your expertise will influence how we develop logistics plans, ensuring efficient production, distribution, and inventory management for Navy Ashore and Afloat units.
As part of Serco, you will collaborate with a dynamic team recognized by the Navy and the industry for its outstanding contributions. In this vital role, you will support the Regional Director and the US Navy at FLC Norfolk, taking on various responsibilities to ensure adherence to safety and regulatory standards.
Your primary responsibilities will include
- Managing material handling and logistics processes within the Navy ERP system.
- Classifying, packaging, labeling, and documenting hazardous materials in accordance with DOT and DoD regulations.
- Completing and verifying Shipper's Declarations for Dangerous Goods for all HAZMAT shipments.
- Reviewing shipping documentation for accuracy and compliance.
- Confirming hazard class identification and selecting suitable packaging.
- Maintaining compliance with safety standards through accurate inventory and requisition records.
- Providing Material Handling Equipment (MHE) support and coordinating transport logistics for Norfolk materials.
- Utilizing MS Office products effectively for reporting and documentation.
To succeed in this critical role, candidates should possess:
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in logistics or supply chain management.
- Citizenship in the United States.
- The ability to obtain a NACI clearance.
- Experience in hazardous materials handling and material management.
- Familiarity with Navy ERP systems and processes.
- A strong understanding of DOT, DoD, and international HAZMAT regulations.
- Proficiency in maintaining compliance with safety standards independently.
- Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail.
- An Associate’s degree; a Bachelor’s degree is desirable.
