Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and own upstream supply planning frameworks to ensure equipment and materials are available to support business timelines
  • Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of upstream supply activities to meet business demand
  • Translate demand signals into executable supply plans in partnership with capital equipment procurement
  • Build scalable processes for long range supply planning, constrained supply scenarios, and risk mitigation
  • Own vendor performance management, including compliance with contractual, operational, and quality requirements
  • Establish vendor performance metrics, scorecards, and governance models to ensure reliability, responsiveness, and scalability
  • Drive integration of vendor supply chain processes into internal planning, deployment, and inventory workflows
  • Oversee equipment readiness, including modifications, maintenance, and remediation of damaged or non conforming equipment
  • Establish SOPs, governance models, and planning cadences across upstream supply processes
  • Define metrics, dashboards, and operating rhythms to ensure visibility into supply risks and commitments
  • Drive continuous improvement across planning tools, workflows, and cross functional handoffs
  • Build and lead a high performing upstream supply team and define roles, career paths, and organizational structure


Day to Day Responsibilities

  • Partner with demand planning, engineering, program teams, finance, field customers, deployment, and capital procurement to align supply requirements and business priorities
  • Convert program forecasts and deployment plans into actionable supply requirements
  • Identify gaps between demand assumptions and supply realities and drive corrective actions with executive stakeholders
  • Align on building schedules, equipment readiness, and capital planning assumptions
  • Lead remediation workflows for damaged or non conforming equipment to avoid supply loss
  • Partner with engineering, quality, and operations to prioritize recovery actions and minimize deployment risk
  • Monitor vendor performance across delivery, quality, and compliance metrics
  • Optimize lead times, buffers, and execution models across vendor supply chains
  • Develop talent and establish best in class planning practices


Preferred Experience and Attributes

  • 10 or more years of experience in supply chain planning, operations, or supply in complex, capital intensive environments
  • Experience working with complex equipment, infrastructure, or hardware driven supply chains in manufacturing, telecom, energy, aerospace, or similar industries
  • Proven ability to design and implement scalable supply planning processes in fast growth environments
  • Vendor management experience, including performance governance, operational integration, and supply risk mitigation
  • Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills
  • Experience leading teams and building organizational capabilities
  • Exposure to advanced planning tools such as APS, ERP, custom planning platforms, or analytics pipelines
  • MBA or advanced technical degree in engineering, operations research, or supply chain
