Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Senior Buyer based in White Bear Lake, MN. The Senior Buyer will be responsible for managing procurement activities, including sourcing materials and services, negotiating agreements with suppliers, and ensuring timely delivery of quality products while optimizing costs. This role includes overseeing supplier performance, managing vendor relationships, monitoring inventory levels, and contributing to cost-saving initiatives. Collaboration with the production, engineering, and finance teams to align supply chain strategies is an integral part of the role.

Qualifications

• Procurement and negotiation skills, with demonstrated experience in securing and managing supplier contracts
• Knowledge and experience in strategic sourcing, material forecasting, and vendor relationship management
• Proficiency in supply chain management practices, including inventory management and cost control
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess suppliers, manage budgets, and identify improvements
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers
• Experience in manufacturing or construction industry procurement is preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
• Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is a plus
• Relevant certifications such as CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) or CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management) are advantageous
