Job Summary

POSITION SUMMARY

Manages and directs the supply chain and purchased services for the surgical services department. Performs the functions of a specialized central supply service, such as inventory management, requisition approval, spend analysis and intermediary between customers and requirements. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

 Assists in establishing goals and objectives that support overall strategic plans of the facility/Baptist Health System

 Monitors the annual department operating and capital budgets

 Manages daily operations of assigned department/s

 Manages performance of staff

 Demonstrates objectivity in decision making, utilizing facts to support decisions

 Supports the mission statement, policies and procedures of the Baptist Health System

 Manages to eliminate boundaries to achieve integrated, efficient and quality service

 Achieves ongoing compliance with all regulatory agencies

 Serves as a resource to employees and customers as demonstrated by visibility and knowledge of issues

 Demonstrates flexibility in response to change

 Anticipates and responds to problems and risks

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION: Associates Degree from accredited college or evidence of pursuing formal education or

appropriate work related experience.

PREFERRED EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree from accredited college or university in Healthcare

Administration, Business or other healthcare related field,

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 4 years in Chain Supply.1 year in a supervisory role

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Background in OR Supply Chain Management.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: NA

PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Certified Materials and Resources Professional (CMRP)
