Director of Procurement

We are looking for an experienced Director of Procurement to lead procurement strategy for a healthcare organization based in Omaha, Nebraska. This role focuses on optimizing the acquisition of medical supplies, equipment, services, and pharmaceuticals while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. The ideal candidate will play a key role in enhancing supply chain efficiency, managing vendor relationships, and driving cost-effective procurement practices.Responsibilities:• Develop and execute strategic procurement initiatives to support organizational goals in cost efficiency and quality improvement.• Manage procurement operations for medical supplies, equipment, pharmaceuticals, and services across the healthcare system.• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, negotiating contracts and overseeing performance to ensure compliance and value delivery.• Collaborate with clinical and operational teams to align procurement strategies with patient care and organizational objectives.• Ensure procurement processes adhere to healthcare regulations and organizational policies.• Utilize data-driven insights to implement process improvements and enhance supply chain performance.• Lead, mentor, and develop the procurement team, fostering growth and expertise.• Monitor procurement metrics and prepare detailed performance reports for executive leadership.• Oversee the management of RFPs, contract renewals, and supplier evaluation processes.• Drive innovation by leveraging industry best practices and emerging technologies within procurement operations.
