Job Description

The Senior Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for executing strategic sourcing initiatives, managing supplier relationships, and leading commercial negotiations to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and services. This role supports all phases of drilling and completion operations and plays a critical part in maintaining quality, safety, and sustainability standards.

The ideal candidate brings strong supply chain expertise, experience supporting drilling or completions projects, and the ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, operations, finance, and legal teams in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Strategic Sourcing

• Conduct market analysis to identify trends, risks, and supply constraints that may impact operations
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to forecast demand, define scopes of work, and evaluate supplier capabilities
• Develop, issue, and manage RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs
• Lead the full sourcing lifecycle from bid development through award and purchase order execution
  
  

Supplier Selection & Relationship Management

• Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on technical capability, quality, delivery performance, and cost competitiveness
• Establish and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure reliable service and on-time delivery
• Monitor supplier performance and address issues or disputes to resolution
  
  

Commercial Negotiation

• Negotiate pricing, terms, and service agreements to secure best-value outcomes
• Manage supplier contracts, price books, and commercial documentation
• Support contract compliance and performance evaluation
  
  

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with engineering, field operations, finance, legal, and other stakeholders to align sourcing strategies with operational timelines and budgets
• Provide data-driven insights to support planning and decision-making
• Ensure alignment between supply chain strategies and operational execution
  
  

Skills And Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in supply chain, procurement, sourcing, or contract management
• Experience supporting drilling or completions operations
• Experience procuring goods and services within the Oil & Gas or geothermal industry
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
• Advanced Excel and strong analytical/data management skills
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines

• Proven experience conducting spend analysis and leading pricing negotiations

Job Details

Pay: $33.65-$43.27/per hour

Location: Houston, TX

Schedule: Monday-Friday
