Job Description
The Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for supporting strategic sourcing initiatives, managing procurement processes, maintaining supplier relationships, and driving continuous improvement activities related to the procurement of goods and services. This role plays a key part in supplier onboarding, purchase order issuance, spend analysis, and reporting to ensure operational efficiency and timely project delivery.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive, with strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
Responsibilities
  • Manage the supplier onboarding process, including collection and verification of required documentation (e.g., agreements, compliance documents, tax forms, insurance certificates, safety documentation).
  • Create, review, and issue purchase orders in accordance with procurement policies and approval workflows, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
  • Maintain standard onboarding and purchase order procedures, including monitoring cycle times and process efficiency.
  • Generate reports and dashboards to track onboarding progress, purchase order activity, supplier status, and procurement metrics.
  • Maintain supplier master data integrity within procurement systems.
  • Perform spend analysis across categories and organizational metrics to support strategic sourcing and cost optimization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, Finance, and Accounts Payable to support procurement activities.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within procurement and supply chain processes.
  • Assist with expediting orders to meet delivery timelines when necessary.
Skills And Qualifications
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management.
  • Knowledge of strategic sourcing principles and supplier relationship management.
  • Experience issuing purchase orders and managing supplier onboarding processes.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and data analysis functions).
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent communication and networking skills with the ability to build and sustain professional relationships.
  • Self-starter with demonstrated initiative and the ability to manage projects independently.
  • Experience procuring goods and services within industrial, energy, engineering, or similar operational environments.
  • Familiarity with ERP or procurement systems.
Job Details
Pay: $30/hr - $50/hr, depending on experience
