
Job Summary
The Procurement Contracts Lead will be responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of procurement contracts, from drafting and negotiation to execution and management. This role ensures that all contracts align with company objectives, mitigate risks, and deliver optimal value. The lead will work closely with legal, finance, and various business units to establish robust contracting processes and foster strong supplier relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive procurement contract strategies and policies in alignment with organizational goals.
- Lead complex contract negotiations with suppliers, vendors, and service providers to secure favorable terms, conditions, and pricing.
- Draft, review, and finalize a wide range of procurement contracts, including master service agreements, statements of work, purchase agreements, and non-disclosure agreements.
- Ensure all contractual agreements comply with legal requirements, company policies, and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with legal counsel to address complex legal issues, interpret contract clauses, and resolve disputes effectively.
- Monitor and manage supplier performance against contractual obligations, KPIs, and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Identify, assess, and mitigate contractual risks, developing contingency plans to protect company interests.
- Maintain an organized and accessible contract repository, ensuring accurate documentation and version control.
- Conduct market analysis and supplier due diligence to inform contract strategies and identify potential cost savings or value-add opportunities.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives for procurement contracting processes, tools, and templates.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior procurement team members on contract best practices and negotiation techniques.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration between internal stakeholders and external suppliers throughout the contract lifecycle.
- Requirement for Procurement Document Writer
- Six Sigma Certified.
