Location: Naperville, IL 60563

Pay Rate: $33.00 – $35.00/hour (W2)

Contract Duration: 8-month contract (potential for extension)

About the Role Join a dynamic procurement team supporting a major systems migration across 18 key accounts. In this role, you will take ownership of contract data, streamline rate loading, and ensure complete billing accuracy across diverse modes of transportation. If you thrive on solving puzzles, working with data, and mastering software systems quickly, this is a great fit for you.

Qualifications

• Experience working with contracts, freight tariffs, or logistics rate structures.
• Advanced Excel skills, including proficiency with VLOOKUP, text concatenation, data manipulation, and handling bulk CSV files.
• Experience navigating TMS (Transportation Management Systems) and ticketing software like Jira.
• strong self-drive, analytical mindset, and the agility to pick up new processes quickly in a dynamic environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Background in cross-modal freight transportation (LTL, TL, Ocean, Air, Intermodal, or Rail).
• Experience with carrier AP/AR invoicing alignment and root-cause error resolution.
• Prior involvement in system migrations or multi-account onboarding projects.

Responsibilities

• Data Management & System Conversion: Clean, combine, and format CSV and Excel data files—using advanced formulas like VLOOKUP and text concatenations—to prepare contract rates for seamless TMS system upload.
• Agreement Verification & Loading: Review Rate, Fuel, and Accessorial agreements for critical data accuracy before loading them into TMS platforms manually or via upload templates, then complete end-to-end testing.
• Cross-Functional Support & Ticket Management: Monitor incoming support requests in Jira, resolve rating queries, and perform root-cause analysis to ensure accurate invoicing for both carrier AP and customer AR.
• Contract & Tariff Execution: Interpret and execute tariff rules and contract applications across domestic and international shipping modes (including LTL, Truckload, Intermodal, Ocean, Air, and Rail).
• Fuel Maintenance: Perform regular updates and accurate weekly calculations of fuel surcharges across two primary TMS platforms.
