Primary Services is excited to announce the role of Project Procurement Manager for a major client, leading large-scale facilities development and capital construction initiatives. This position plays a critical role in managing procurement strategies that support new builds, renovations, and infrastructure upgrades. The Project Procurement Manager will coordinate closely with project managers, engineers, finance leaders, and external vendors to ensure materials and services are sourced efficiently, competitively, and on schedule for complex projects across multiple locations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end procurement activities supporting facilities construction projects, including new construction, renovations, and infrastructure upgrades.
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies aligned with project schedules, budget targets, and quality standards.
  • Manage vendor identification, evaluation, selection, and onboarding processes.
  • Negotiate supplier agreements, pricing structures, and contract terms for construction materials and services.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineering teams, and finance stakeholders to forecast procurement requirements.
  • Track supplier performance and address delivery, quality, or service issues impacting project timelines.
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and safety standards.
  • Identify cost reduction opportunities and implement risk mitigation strategies within the supply chain.
  • Maintain procurement documentation, supplier records, and contract files supporting project audits and reporting.
  • Coordinate procurement schedules to support multiple concurrent capital projects.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of procurement experience supporting construction, facilities, or capital projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience with sourcing strategies, vendor management, and contract negotiation for construction materials and services.
  • Knowledge of procurement best practices, supplier evaluation methods, and contract administration processes.
  • Experience coordinating procurement requirements for multi-phase construction or infrastructure projects.
  • Proficiency with procurement platforms or ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with construction documentation, project budgets, and procurement scheduling.
  • Experience maintaining procurement compliance with corporate policies and regulatory standards.
