2026 Summer Supply Chain - Contract Management Internship

Murphy Oil

At Murphy Oil Corporation, we value the diverse experiences and backgrounds of our employees, believing they strengthen our organization and drive our success. We encourage motivated individuals to apply for our positions if they meet the qualifications.

Job Summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic Contract Management Intern to join our Global Contracts Team. In this role, you will help streamline contract processes, enhance compliance, and utilize AI along with other technology tools for increased efficiency. During this 12-week internship, you will gain valuable hands-on experience in Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM), organizing digital repositories, and process automation. You will also contribute to strategic projects such as developing a contract review playbook and ensuring audit readiness.

The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and strong written and verbal communication abilities. An analytical mindset is crucial for identifying risks and proposing effective solutions. While having knowledge of contract structures, clauses, and negotiation principles is beneficial, it is not mandatory. A keen interest in legal operations, procurement, or compliance is highly appreciated. Familiarity with digital tools and a willingness to learn platforms like Icertis and Copilot AI will set you up for success. The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment is essential.

By the conclusion of the internship, you will have practical experience in contract lifecycle management and compliance, skills in organizing and digitizing legal documents, contributions to a contract review playbook, insights into using AI tools for legal and procurement workflows, and a solid foundation for future careers in legal operations, procurement, or corporate compliance.

This internship will take place at Murphy Oil Corporation's corporate offices in Houston, Texas.
