Louis Vuitton Americas is seeking a strategic Demand Planner to join our Supply Chain team based in New York City. As a Demand Planner, you will be responsible for the sales forecasting process in the Americas zone for Shoes. This role also involves supporting the Best Estimates process and the monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) meeting, fostering alignment with Finance, Merchandising, and the Zone President. Additionally, the Demand Planner will have the opportunity to oversee communication and monitor sales performance for all products within their designated scope.
Job responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts for permanent product lines, ensuring effective communication of changes to the Central team.
  • Monitor sales performance, proactively engaging Merchandising, Distribution, and Central Sales Planning teams to optimize sell-through.
  • Lead the Best Estimate process, fostering cross-functional collaboration with Merchandising, Retail, E-Commerce, Supply Chain, and Finance to establish a unified and ambitious vision for year-to-go business.
  • Provide critical support for the quarterly showroom process, including managing novelty sizing (OTB/OTS) with Zone and Central stakeholders, offering analytical insights to enhance buy accuracy, and supporting Shoes sizing.
  • Conduct ad-hoc, data-driven analyses to identify actionable insights that boost sales performance, improve inventory turnover, and elevate the overall client experience.
Innovation:
  • Proactively identify opportunities to optimize sales, mitigate depreciation risks, and streamline long-tail inventory management by developing forward-thinking action plans and presenting findings and recommendations to senior management.
Commercial Mindset:
  • Provide insightful contributions to cross-functional partners, staying abreast of key trends and proposing supplementary products or solutions.
Profile
We are excited to speak to individuals who possess 3+ years of relevant experience in demand planning, demonstrating elevated and sophisticated communication skills, exceptional organization, and a meticulous attention to detail. Strong analytical capabilities are essential, along with advanced proficiency in Excel and Power BI; experience with Anaplan is a plus. Prior experience with forecasting methodologies is required. Fluency in English is a must, and French language skills are considered an asset. This role will involve approximately 10% travel.
The appointed candidate will be offered a base salary within the range of USD $80,000 - $85,000, a comprehensive benefits package including: medical, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, various paid time off programs, employee discount/perks and two retirement plans both with employer contributions.

The position requires 4 days per week on site in the Louis Vuitton Corporate Office, located in the heart of Midtown, Manhattan.
