Page Field (FMY), an FAA-designated reliever airport, provides services to general and business aviation and accommodated more than 160,000 aircraft operations in 2025. Base Operations at Page Field is an award-winning, fixed-based operator and has been recognized for its customer service and facilities. Terminal Expansion projects are currently underway at RSW to improve the airport travel experience by consolidating the security checkpoints, adding concession space and providing passengers more amenities and options.
In addition, a new Concourse E is being constructed with 14 gates, as well as other terminal, landside and airside improvements. The Position This is a professional position in the Procurement Department involving all functions of governmental procurement. The successful candidate will perform detailed technical and professional work in a centralized procurement environment, managing competitive solicitations for the acquisition of commodities or services for the Lee County Port Authority (LCPA) at Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) and Page Field (FMY).
The position is responsible for preparing solicitation documents, reviewing specifications and scopes of work, conducting pre-submittal conferences, drafting addendum(a), analyzing solicitation responses, and issuing purchase order(s) and/or two-party agreement(s) and related work, as needed. The candidate will coordinate, plan and schedule work with Port Authority divisions and departments. The anticipated starting hourly rate for the ideal candidate is between $24.26 and $28.86 Key Responsibilities Review and authorize purchase orders and change orders within delegated authority in the Authority's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system Ensure complete and proper supporting documentation are included with requisitions prior to generating purchase orders and change orders Assist with vendor management and performance issues, working toward amicable resolve while ensuring contract compliance Facilitate contract renewals in a timely manner Maintain solicitation and purchase files, reports and records Performs other related work as required Minimum Requirements Associate's degree and a minimum of two years of purchasing experience required; or an equivalent combination of training and experience Considerable knowledge of business practices and procedures related to competitive procurement in a centralized purchasing function Attain Certified Professional Public Buyer (CPPB) or The Institute for Public Procurement (NIGP) Certified Procurement Professional certification (NIGP-CPP) within three to five years of hire, depending upon certification eligibility requirements Emergency Response/Recovery Activities: Lee County Port Authority personnel are designated by tier levels and may be called upon to assist with an emergency or unforeseen event at any time.
