Senior Supply Chain Planner (75% Travel)

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Supply Chain Planner to support global supply planning, supplier performance, and manufacturing operations. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring continuity of materials flow, production readiness, and supplier quality for a global manufacturing environment.

You will act as the primary liaison between internal operations and external suppliers, helping drive supplier accountability, resolve production bottlenecks, and ensure that critical materials arrive on time to support manufacturing commitments. This position includes up to 75% domestic and international travel to work directly with suppliers, assess readiness, and lead recovery efforts when disruptions occur.

Core Responsibilities

• Identify root causes of supply and production issues and develop recommended solutions.
• Work closely with operations teams to plan resources, align schedules, and support production continuity.
• Collaborate with manufacturing groups to maintain production flow and ensure alignment on material readiness.
• Travel to suppliers up to 75% of the time to expedite critical materials and verify production readiness.
• Prepare and deliver clear reports on supplier performance, risks, delays, and recovery plans.
• Partner with suppliers to resolve problems, improve delivery reliability, and strengthen long‑term supply chain performance.
• Support continuous improvement activities and capacity planning initiatives within the global supply chain network.
