A leading global cruise company headquartered in Miami is seeking an accomplished Procurement Director to lead sourcing and supplier operations across a diverse and dynamic global supply chain. This is a pivotal leadership role focused on executional excellence — ensuring that procurement strategies translate into tangible results, cost savings, and reliable supply outcomes across fleet and shoreside operations.


Position Summary


The Procurement Director will be responsible for delivering consistent operational performance across all procurement functions. This position requires a leader with strong executional discipline, capable of turning strategy into action and ensuring the end-to-end procurement cycle runs with speed, accuracy, and accountability.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the execution of procurement strategies across key categories, including food & beverage, hotel operations, marine, and technical supplies.
  • Drive operational delivery — ensuring sourcing, contracting, and supplier management processes meet timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Translate high-level strategic goals into actionable procurement plans with clear metrics and ownership.
  • Oversee supplier negotiations and contract execution to secure optimal commercial and operational outcomes.
  • Implement process improvements that enhance execution efficiency and data transparency across the procurement function.
  • Monitor procurement performance, reporting on cost savings, service reliability, and supplier compliance.
  • Collaborate closely with operations, finance, and technical departments to ensure procurement supports real-time operational demands.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a results-driven procurement team with a focus on accountability and delivery.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 10 years’ procurement leadership experience, ideally within the cruise, hospitality, or maritime industries.
  • Proven record of delivering measurable procurement results — from sourcing execution to contract delivery.
  • Strong operational mindset with attention to process, timelines, and cost control.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a complex, fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with ERP and procurement software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Coupa).
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to align cross-functional teams around clear operational goals.
