Vice President of Global Supply Chain

The Vice President of Global Supply Chain will serve as the senior executive responsible for designing, scaling, and optimizing EAI’s global supply chain strategy. This leader will oversee procurement, sourcing, manufacturing operations, logistics, quality, and inventory management across international markets.
This role is critical to ensuring EAI achieves world-class supply chain performance while supporting the company’s mission of delivering energy access solutions reliably, efficiently, and sustainably.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Planning
- Develop and execute EAI’s end-to-end global supply chain strategy aligned with company growthobjectives.
- Build a scalable supply chain architecture capable of supporting rapid global expansion.
- Oversight and functional support to business units in long-term capacity planning, including supplier diversification and global manufacturing footprint decisions.
- Drive sustainability, resiliency, and risk-mitigation initiatives across the supply chain.
- Oversee global sourcing strategies for components, materials, and finished goods.
- Build and manage strategic supplier partnerships across Asia, North America, Africa, and other key markets.
- Negotiate high-impact contracts to ensure cost competitiveness, quality, and reliability.
- Implement supplier scorecards, performance frameworks, and compliance programs.
- Collaborate with business units on global manufacturing strategy, including in-house production, contract manufacturing, and ODM/OEM partnerships.
- Improve production efficiency, cost, quality, and throughput across all manufacturing nodes.
- Collaborate with NPI (New Product Introduction) processes to ensure smooth commercialization ofnew technologies.
- Build a globallogisticsnetwork that supports multi-region distribution, last-mile delivery, and international regulatory compliance.
- Optimizefreight, warehousing, customs clearance, and global inventory placement.Establish scalable fulfillment operations to support customers, distributors, and project partners.
- Quality, Compliance & Risk Management
- Collaborate andassistwith global quality systems to ensure consistency, reliability, and regulatory compliance.
- Create risk-monitoring and mitigation frameworks for geopolitical, supplier,logistics, and operational risks.
- Implement data-driven performance tracking through KPIs and real-time dashboards related to supply chain .
- Build and lead a high-performance global supply chain organization.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, operational excellence, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Mentor and develop future leaders in sourcing,logistics, manufacturing, and planning.
- All other duties assigned .
Required
- 12+ years of progressive leadership experience in global supply chain , operations, procurement, or manufacturing.
- Experience scaling supply chains for hardware, energy, electronics, or clean-tech products.
- Proven success managing global suppliers and manufacturing operations in regions such as China, Southeast Asia, India, Europe, or Africa.
- Strong understanding of internationallogistics, compliance, and supply-demand planning.
- Demonstratedability to lead complex negotiations and manage multimillion-dollar budgets.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and cross-cultural collaboration skills.
- Bachelor Degree in Supply Chain Management or related field.
- Experience in renewable energy, solar, energy storage, or distributed energy technologies.
- Background in building supply chains for emerging markets.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, supply chain analytics, and advanced planning tools.
- MBA or relevant master’s degree.
