Role Description

We are seeking a Senior Buyer/Procurement Specialist to lead purchasing and procurement operations at our Clearwater, FL facility. This is a full-time, on-site role where the individual will manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, source quality materials, and oversee inventory levels. Responsibilities include ensuring timely procurement of resources, identifying cost-saving opportunities, maintaining compliance with organizational policies, and working cross-functionally with internal departments to support production goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Responsible for leading the procurement activities and managing the purchasing of medical device components, materials, and services. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring efficient supply chain operations, cost-effective sourcing, and timely delivery to support both manufacturing and warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong negotiation skills, knowledge of medical device regulations, and experience in a fast-paced, regulated environment.

· Develop, implement, and manage procurement strategies for sourcing medical device components, equipment, and services to meet production and operational needs.

· Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with suppliers, negotiating favorable terms, contracts, and pricing to optimize supply chain performance and reduce costs.

· Collaborate with the warehouse and inventory teams to ensure adequate stock levels of materials, addressing any supply chain disruptions that may affect production.

· Ensure all purchases comply with industry regulations (FDA, ISO 13485), quality standards, and company policies, especially in terms of medical device safety and effectiveness.

· Conduct market research and analyze supplier pricing, trends, and availability to secure competitive pricing while maintaining quality and efficiency.

· Oversee the purchase order lifecycle, from creating purchase requests to final delivery, and ensure that all goods are received in a timely manner.

· Conduct supplier audits and performance evaluations to ensure adherence to quality and contractual agreements.

· Work closely with engineering, production, finance, and warehouse teams to forecast demand, review inventory levels, and manage procurement budgets.

· Identify potential supply chain risks and implement strategies to mitigate them, ensuring continuous supply of critical components.

· Provide guidance and support to junior procurement staff and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and operational efficiency.

· Perform any other related duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

· Minimum of 2 year of manufacturing experience in a regulated industry is preferred.

· Strong knowledge of supply chain processes, inventory management, and demand planning.

· Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to medical devices and ISO standards is an advantage.

· Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement.

· Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.

· Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

· Proven interpersonal skills, able to interact effectively at a variety of levels within the organization.

EDUCATION/ TRAINING

· Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. However, proven experience as a Supply Chain Specialist or Buyer in the medical device manufacturing industry or a similar field may substitute for education.
