Vice President of Strategic Sourcing

Company: A manufacturing company in the Dallas Fort-Worth area is looking for a VP of Strategic Sourcing to join their fast growing team and help build the procurement/sourcing team.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and identify global suppliers
• Lead a team of sourcing managers and help hire, train and mentor staff
• Work cross functionally with different teams including finance, quality, engineering, manufacturing, etc.
• Analyze global market trends to evaluate supply chain risks and create best practices to help mitigate
• Implement sourcing practices across the team
• Negotiate supplier contracts and optimize cost and quality

Qualifications:

• At least 7 years of sourcing/procurement experience across a manufacturing environment
• Bachelor's Degree in supply chain, business or related field
• Experience leading global teams
• Proven ability to drive continuous improvement
• Critical communication and analytical skills
