Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end procurement activities, including sourcing, purchasing, and contract negotiations to secure the best pricing and terms.
  • Utilize ERP systems such as SAP, JD Edwards, Oracle EBS, or AS400 to process purchase orders, track inventory levels, and monitor supply chain performance.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to understand production planning needs and coordinate timely procurement of materials.
  • Conduct supplier evaluations and develop sourcing strategies to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and reliability.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchase transactions, contracts, and supplier communications for audit readiness.
  • Monitor inventory control processes and adjust procurement plans based on demand forecasts and MRP (Material Requirements Planning) data.
  • Stay informed about market trends, pricing fluctuations, and new sourcing opportunities to maximize value for the organization.

Skills

  • Proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP, SAP ERP, JD Edwards, Oracle EBS or similar platforms for procurement management.
  • Strong understanding of materials management, inventory management, logistics, and supply chain operations.
  • Experience with procurement processes including sourcing, negotiation, contract management, and pricing strategies.
  • Knowledge of production planning concepts like MRP to align purchasing with manufacturing schedules.
  • Excellent communication skills for negotiating with suppliers and collaborating across departments.
  • Ability to analyze data related to inventory control, merchandising, e-commerce platforms, and supply chain metrics.
  • Familiarity with contracts management and logistics coordination to ensure seamless supply chain flow.
