COMMODITY PROCUREMENT MANAGER - MRO

We are thrilled to invite an experienced Procurement or Supply Chain Professional to join our Copeland team! In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for driving sourcing initiatives within our MRO categories across all Copeland locations. This position involves developing and executing category strategies globally, optimizing total cost of ownership, ensuring supply continuity, uncovering new savings opportunities, managing supplier performance, and achieving procurement excellence.

AS A COMMODITY PROCUREMENT MANAGER, MRO, YOU WILL:

• Develop and execute category strategies aligned with business objectives and stakeholder priorities.
• Conduct market analysis, benchmarking, and supplier research to identify trends and opportunities.
• Lead comprehensive sourcing initiatives, including RFPs, supplier negotiations, contracts, and implementation.
• Oversee testing requirements and implementation phases of complex projects.
• Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders across plants and operations to align sourcing strategies with business needs.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and value creation through supplier consolidation and contract renegotiations.
• Manage supplier relationships and performance, focusing on SLAs, KPIs, and regular reviews, while implementing corrective actions when necessary.
• Ensure adherence to procurement policies, legal standards, and risk management requirements.
• Track and report on savings initiatives, contract coverage, and sourcing pipeline activities.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of experience in procurement.
• Proven ability to collaborate with all organizational levels and external vendors.
• Analytical problem-solving skills with a structured approach to ambiguity and risk.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong presentation capabilities.
• Self-motivated, capable of working independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel domestically (5-10%).

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Project management expertise.
• Experience in manufacturing procurement.
