About the Role
The Company is in search of a Head of Procurement for North America, a pivotal role that demands a visionary and strategic leader to drive transformation and build a high-performing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and developing a small but impactful procurement team, with a focus on category management, strategic sourcing, and procurement transformation. This includes owning and optimizing key spend categories, monitoring and mitigating supply risks, and integrating sustainability criteria into procurement processes. The role also involves championing digital procurement tools, automation, and AI-driven insights, as well as collaborating with cross-functional teams to align procurement strategies with business goals.
Applicants must have a minimum of 10 years' of progressive experience in procurement, with a strong emphasis on category management and transformation, and a proven track record of leading teams and influencing across matrixed organizations. The role requires a leader with strong negotiation, analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills, and a Bachelor's degree is required, with an MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred. The ideal candidate will have experience in both regional and global procurement environments, and a background in digitalization and AI adoption within the procurement function. The Head of Procurement will also be expected to demonstrate executive presence, strategic foresight, and a commitment to fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the team.
