Senior Director, Procurement & Supply Chain
CollectorsCollectors is the leading creator of innovative technology that provides value-added services for collectors worldwide. We grade, authenticate, vault, and sell millions of record-setting collectibles, all while modernizing and digitalizing the process to further our mission of helping collectors pursue their passions. We’re always on the lookout for talented people to join our growing team.
Our services span collectible trading cards, autographs, comic books, coins, video games, event tickets, and memorabilia. Our subsidiaries include PSA, PCGS, Beckett, SGC, and Card Ladder.
Since our founding in 1986, we have graded and authenticated millions of items. We employ more than 3000 people across our headquarters in Santa Ana, California and offices in New Jersey, Texas, Florida, Japan, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Canada, Mexico, Germany, and France.
We’re looking for a Senior Director, Procurement & Supply Chain to build and lead the procurement and supply chain function for Collectors. This role owns enterprise-wide sourcing and vendor management for all non-technology spend—from the physical materials that are central to our grading operations (holders, slabs, labels, packaging, and shipping supplies) to professional services, facilities, and indirect spend. You’ll establish strategic sourcing practices, negotiate key supplier agreements, optimize our supply chain to support high-volume operations across multiple facilities, and drive cost savings and efficiency improvements that directly impact the bottom line. Collectors processes millions of collectible items each year across sites in California, New Jersey, Texas, Florida, and internationally, making supply chain reliability and procurement discipline critical to our business.
You’ll report to the SVP, Financial Operations and work from our Santa Ana, CA corporate office headquarters, with periodic travel to other Collectors facilities.

What You’ll Do
Procurement Strategy & Strategic Sourcing
- Develop and execute Collectors’ enterprise-wide procurement strategy, covering direct materials (grading holders, slabs, labels, inserts, packaging, and shipping supplies), indirect spend (facilities, MRO, office supplies, professional services), and capital equipment.
- Lead strategic sourcing initiatives to consolidate spend, reduce costs, and improve quality and supplier performance across all categories; identify and capture savings opportunities across a multi-subsidiary organization.
- Build and maintain a category management framework that segments spend, prioritizes sourcing events, and tracks value delivered by category over time.
- Establish procurement policies, approval workflows, and spend controls across all Collectors entities; ensure compliance and accountability from requisition through payment.
- Partner with Finance and FP&A to develop procurement budgets, track spend against plan, and report on savings and cost avoidance.
- Own the end-to-end supplier relationship lifecycle: identification, qualification, RFP/RFQ management, negotiation, contracting, onboarding, performance management, and renewal or exit.
- Negotiate and manage master service agreements, supply agreements, and statements of work with key vendors; drive favorable terms on pricing, payment, quality, lead times, and service levels.
- Establish a formal supplier performance management program with scorecards, quarterly business reviews, and continuous improvement targets for critical suppliers.
- Develop a diverse and resilient supplier base; identify and qualify alternative sources to mitigate single-source risk, particularly for production-critical materials like holders and labels.
- Manage enterprise-wide vendor relationships for professional services (consulting, legal, audit, staffing) and facilities-related services; rationalize the vendor portfolio and eliminate redundant spend.
- Oversee supply chain planning, inventory management, and logistics across Collectors’ multi-site operations (Santa Ana, CA; Jersey City, NJ; Plano, TX; Boca Raton, FL; and international locations).
- Ensure uninterrupted supply of production-critical materials to grading and authentication operations; develop demand forecasting processes that align procurement with operational volume.
- Optimize inventory levels across all facilities to balance service levels, carrying costs, and working capital; implement inventory management best practices and KPIs.
- Manage inbound and outbound logistics, freight, and distribution partnerships; negotiate carrier agreements and drive improvements in cost, reliability, and transit times.
- Develop and maintain business continuity and contingency plans for supply chain disruptions; proactively manage risk across the supplier network.
- Serve as the procurement partner to Operations for all materials used in the grading and authentication process, including holders, slabs, labels, inserts, tamper-evident packaging, and specialty supplies unique to each business line (PSA, PCGS, Beckett, SGC).
- Partner with Product, Operations, and Engineering teams on new holder designs, label specifications, and packaging innovations; manage supplier qualification and ramp for new materials.
- Drive quality standards for production materials; establish inspection criteria, rejection protocols, and corrective action processes with suppliers.
- Support new site launches and capacity expansions by ensuring procurement and supply chain readiness for new facilities or production lines.
- Implement procurement and supply chain tools, processes, and automation to improve efficiency, visibility, and control; partner with the Director of Business Systems on procurement module optimization within NetSuite.
- Establish purchase order management, contract lifecycle management, and spend analytics capabilities; drive adoption of P2P (procure-to-pay) best practices.
- Develop dashboards and reporting to provide leadership with visibility into spend, savings, supplier performance, inventory levels, and supply chain KPIs.
- Champion continuous improvement across the procurement and supply chain function; apply Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies to eliminate waste and improve cycle times.
- Lead and develop the procurement and supply chain team, including the Director of Procurement/Strategic Sourcing and Supply Chain Operations staff; set clear goals, provide coaching, and build a high-performing organization.
- Professionalize the function by establishing standard operating procedures, role definitions, and career paths that attract and retain top talent.
- Build the team’s capabilities over time to support Collectors’ growth—including international procurement needs as the company’s global footprint expands.
- Foster cross-functional relationships with Operations, Finance, Legal, and IT to ensure procurement and supply chain are aligned with business priorities.
- 12+ years of progressive procurement and/or supply chain experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role; experience must include direct and indirect procurement of physical goods in a manufacturing, production, or high-volume operations environment.
- Proven track record leading strategic sourcing initiatives that deliver measurable cost savings, quality improvements, and supply chain efficiencies at scale.
- Strong supplier negotiation skills with experience managing complex, multi-year supply agreements for physical materials and production inputs.
- Experience managing supply chain operations across multiple sites, including inventory management, demand planning, and logistics optimization.
- Deep understanding of procure-to-pay processes, purchase order management, and procurement controls; experience implementing or optimizing procurement systems within an ERP environment (NetSuite preferred).
- Comfortable managing enterprise-wide vendor relationships across both physical materials and professional services categories.
- Strong analytical and financial acumen; able to build and present business cases, develop spend analytics, and communicate ROI to senior leadership.
- Experience with supplier qualification, quality management, and incoming inspection programs for production materials.
- Excellent communicator and collaborator; able to partner effectively with Operations, Finance, Legal, and executive leadership.
- Highly organized with strong project management skills; able to manage multiple sourcing events, supplier transitions, and improvement initiatives simultaneously.
- CPSM, CPM, CSCP, or similar professional certification is a plus.
- Experience in consumer products, manufacturing, e-commerce, or high-volume services environments is strongly preferred.
