Job Summary

The Department of Finance and Supply Chain Management, within the College of Business at CWU, is accepting applications to fill current and future full-time, part-time, quarterly and annual appointment lecturer positions to teach undergraduate classes in Supply Chain Management related areas. CWU offers a BS Business Administration/ Supply Chain Management, a BAS Supply Chain Management and a Supply Chain Certificate. Additionally, the Department offers a two-course sequence leading to Lean Six Sigma Greenbelt Certification. CWU delivers supply chain education at locations in Ellensburg WA, Lynnwood WA, Des Moines WA, Lakewood WA and at Stone Education Center at Joint Base Lewis McChord. The SCM program includes a fundamentals course as well as upper division courses in purchasing, manufacturing and service operations, logistics, global trade, lean six sigma processes and supply chain strategy.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in related field. (Preferably from an AACSB accredited institution)
  • Demonstrated expertise in relevant areas of supply chain practice.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated record of teaching effectiveness in university level courses.
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt for consideration to teach the Leans Six Sigma course.
  • Current work experience.

Pay & Work Schedule

Pay: Based on the terms and conditions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

The minimum remuneration for the non-tenure-track titles for the 2025-2026 academic year will be as follows:

(a) Lecturer: $1,224 per workload unit for faculty with terminal degrees; $979 per workload unit for faculty without terminal degrees.

(b) Senior Lecturer: $1,346 per workload unit for faculty with terminal degrees; $1,075 per workload unit for faculty without terminal degrees.

Effective September 1, 2026,

The minimum remuneration for the non-tenure-track titles for the 2026-2027 academic year will be as follows:

(a) Lecturer: $1,248 per workload unit for faculty with terminal degrees; $999 per workload unit for faculty without terminal degrees.

(b) Senior Lecturer: $1,373 per workload unit for faculty with terminal degrees; $1,097 per workload unit for faculty without terminal degrees.

Additional Information: This announcement will be used to develop a pool of applicants for positions in the department of Finance & Supply Chain Management through March 2027. There is a possibility that selected applicants may be called on short notice to fill lecturer vacancies on a quarter-by-quarter basis.

Screening of applications begins immediately and will continue as needed. The number of lecturer positions filled varies from quarter to quarter, depending upon the needs of the department. Positions typically start at the beginning of an academic quarter. Your application will be maintained in this pool for consideration through March 2027.
