An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Strategic Sourcing Manager to take ownership of strategic IT spend within a complex, multi stakeholder environment.

This role sits within a growing procurement function, offering strong visibility, autonomy and long-term progression.

Role responsibilities

You will be responsible for managing medium to large technology spend categories and leading end to end sourcing activity across the organisation.

Working closely with senior business and IT stakeholders, you will help embed structured procurement processes while maintaining a highly collaborative, partnership led approach.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver IT category strategies aligned to business objective
• Lead sourcing activity across software, hardware, telecoms and IT services
• Manage competitive tender processes including RFx, negotiations and evaluations
• Build cost models and commercial comparisons using Excel
• Analyse third party spend to identify value and optimisation opportunities
• Evaluate supplier proposals and support award recommendations
• Lead contract negotiations including pricing and commercial terms
• Manage supplier performance and ongoing contract obligations
• Track savings, KPIs and sourcing outcomes
• Partner with stakeholders to align procurement priorities
• Support procurement governance and policy compliance
• Drive continuous improvement across suppliers and processes

Required Experience

• Proven experience within IT or technology procurement
• Strong background in strategic sourcing and category management
• Experience managing high value and high visibility spend
• Confident negotiating complex commercial agreements
• Highly analytical with strong Excel capability
• Comfortable working with senior stakeholders
• Pragmatic, solutions focused and partnership driven
• Able to challenge constructively when required
• Adaptable and effective in evolving environments
