Job summary/Objective of Job
The Shipping & Receiving Associate plays a key role in supporting our remanufacturing operations by accurately receiving, verifying, preparing, and shipping heavy-duty driveline components and related parts. This position ensures materials flow efficiently through the warehouse and production areas, helping keep customer orders on schedule and production running smoothly. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and committed to maintaining accuracy and quality within a fast-paced industrial environment.
Summary of essential job functions
Receiving Responsibilities
Receive and verify incoming shipments of heavy-duty driveline components, cores, and related materials. Confirm item type, quantity, and condition against purchase orders; close out orders in the iTrack system. Label and assign inventory to correct warehouse locations and ensure timely put-away to support production demands. Investigate discrepancies such as incorrect quantities, mislabeled parts, or core variances; collaborate with Purchasing to resolve issues. Execute the short-sheet process to ensure production receives correct parts and materials. Monitor and address receiving workflow items in the OnBase system.
Shipping Responsibilities
Prepare, package, and ship small parts, components, and non-freight items through UPS/FedEx. Verify correct parts, ship-to addresses, and carrier selections based on customer requirements and operational needs. Pull and stage orders for shipment with high accuracy to prevent delays or errors. Complete all necessary shipping documentation and computer-based processes. Investigate and resolve shipping discrepancies, including lost, damaged, or misrouted items, by coordinating with carriers. Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and carriers regarding shipment status when required.
Warehouse & Production Support
Pull internal orders for Customer Service, Production, and Assembly work orders. Restock bulk or overflow inventory to ensure consistent availability of high-demand driveline components. Build kits for production, including packaging and preparing parts for assembly lines. Assist with boxing steering gears or other heavy-duty components as needed. Support team members during absences or peak production periods. Return incorrectly pulled inventory to proper locations and help maintain warehouse accuracy. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment, including trash and cardboard disposal.
Qualifications
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Dependability and consistent attendance are essential to support production flow. Strong math and computer skills with the ability to learn warehouse software systems. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to investigate and troubleshoot problems related to shipping, receiving, or inventory accuracy. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting. Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more, including heavy components. High School Diploma or GED required. Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.

Physical Requirements
Adequate vision and hearing (with or without correction) to safely handle heavy-duty components and equipment. Frequent standing, bending, squatting, twisting, and reaching. Repetitive lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of driveline parts and materials. Ability to work in a warehouse environment that may include temperature variations.
