Director of Logistics Controls

Job Summary
The Logistics Controls Director is responsible for driving the financial controls and operational excellence across North America. Reporting into the VP of Supply Chain, this role partners closely with the Order Management Director, Logistics Director, Head Quarters, and manages the performance of eCommerce third-party logistics (3PL) providers. The Director ensures smooth business operations by implementing robust controls, maintaining strong financial oversight, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and optimizing processes to support growth and customer satisfaction.
Principal Accountabilities
Operational Leadership
- Partner with Logistics Directors of distribution centers to align on performance and compliance.
- Manage and monitor eCommerce 3PL performance, ensuring SLAs and KPIs are met.
- Drive initiatives that enhance service, quality, and reduce operational risk.
Financial Management
- Maintain strong control over logistics financials, including budgeting, forecasting, and investments.
- Ensure rigorous control of inventory at all sites delivering shrink reduction.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
- Lead continuous improvement projects to streamline workflows and reduce costs.
Team Leadership & Culture
- Lead, mentor, and develop diverse functions with direct or dotted line responsibilities.
- Foster collaboration across supply chain, finance, and operations teams.
- Drive a culture of safety, accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.
- Promote an inclusive environment that aligns with company values and fosters high morale and collaboration.
Strategic Initiatives & Innovation
- Develop and execute logistics control strategies for North America operations.
- Identify areas for cost savings, efficiency improvements, and process optimization.
- Drive automation and digital transformation initiatives.
Qualification and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in logistics operations with leadership responsibility.
- Proven experience managing distribution centers and 3PL relationships.
- Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, cost control, and P&L management.
- Experience in the beauty, consumer goods or FMCG industry.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
