Vice President Operations
24 Seven Talent
This senior leadership role is responsible for overseeing and optimizing end-to-end operations across the organization. Scope includes coordination of external partners, physical distribution, support for digital channels, transportation and related services, inventory oversight, sourcing activities, and performance analysis and reporting. The position also plays a strategic role in supporting new initiatives and launches, and provides visible leadership to help maintain a strong culture of quality, service, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Operations, Planning, and Sourcing
- Develop and refine an operations strategy that supports organizational growth and financial objectives, including the selection and oversight of key external service providers.
- Lead medium- and long-range planning activities, balancing resource needs, capacity, and demand while partnering with commercial and other internal stakeholders.
- Oversee inventory levels across locations to support service, working with relevant teams on demand and supply planning processes.
- Support the effectiveness and scalability of digital and direct-to-consumer operational capabilities, particularly during peak periods.
- Guide sourcing decisions and spending priorities in alignment with broader business strategies, including supplier selection, relationship management, and ongoing performance monitoring.
- Lead key cost and contract discussions with external partners to help manage expenses and protect margins.
- Develop a strong understanding of operational systems and tools, partnering with other functions to enhance existing solutions or introduce new ones where needed.
Production and Quality
- Oversee relationships with production partners and support the onboarding of new partners to meet evolving business needs.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to support timely and effective introduction of new offerings.
- Coordinate with cross-functional groups to ensure key project and seasonal timelines are met.
- Explore and champion opportunities to integrate more sustainable and environmentally conscious practices into operations.
Leadership
- Lead cross-functional initiatives focused on improving efficiency, reliability, and scalability of operations, including change management and continuous improvement efforts.
- Build, mentor, and develop team members by setting clear expectations, providing feedback, and supporting ongoing learning and development.
- Promote a culture that values cost awareness, quality, and professional conduct across all activities.
- Maintain visibility into day-to-day operations and translate insights into actionable plans and priorities.
- Ensure work is performed in alignment with relevant regulations and internal standards related to safety, quality, and compliance.
- Clarify roles and accountabilities within the team and conduct regular performance and development discussions.
Collaboration and Communication
- Foster a collaborative environment that encourages open communication and effective problem solving across functions.
- Develop and maintain productive relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Communicate priorities, updates, and key decisions clearly and in a timely manner to all relevant audiences.
Business Impact
- Work closely with senior leaders to align operational plans with overall business objectives and customer expectations.
- Contribute to organizational performance through effective decision making, influence, and execution.
- Develop and manage budgets for relevant areas, including periodic forecasting and variance analysis.
- Monitor and control operational and purchasing-related expenditures, including approvals aligned with financial guidelines.
- Oversee key agreements with external partners, ensuring they remain aligned with evolving business needs and compliance expectations.
- Support and model adherence to organizational policies and standards of business conduct, reinforcing their importance with the broader team.
